Dear Mr. Letterly:
We are in receipt of your letter dated November 20, 1999, and we acknowledge the
problem of metal,nails, etc. on the roads that cause flat tires. However, magnets installed
on the motor graders would not be feasible nor cost efficient. The magnets would require
expensive installation, a constant source of energy to run, and labor to keep them clear of
collected debris.

Re: County Dirt Roads
Dear Weld County Commissioners,
In the last few weeks my family has had a lot of flat tires.
We live in the country and drive on the dirt road often. I think
that the road graders should have big magnet on the back of
the blade. This magnet will pick the pieces of metal up off
the road. This will save the rural Weld county residence
much money in tire repair. Thank you for considering this
suggestion.
