In keeping with the requirement of notifying our franchise authorities of changes
to our cable service, please note that effective February 1, 1996, rates for cable
service will increase. The changes, based on programming and copyright as
well as inflation, will affect rates for equipment, installation and cable service.
We are in the process of completing the required paperwork for the FCC to
determine the amounts and expect to notify you within ten days with the specific
rates. At that time, we will send copies of the notifications our customers will
receive in a bill message on January 1996 statements. Statements will be
mailed the last week of December.
As 1995 comes to a close, our Greeley customers will see tangible results of
two years of construction and upheaval with the launch of the new lineup
December 20. However, in Weld County the system upgrade is still in process
which leaves the date for launch of the new lineup in question. We anticipate
completion and launch in the first quarter of 1996 and keep you well informed of
the progress.
Because our customers in Weld County will not have the new channel lineup on
December 20, the change on February 1, will reflect inflation, programming and
'copyright increase. Then, once the upgrade is complete and new lineup is
launched, there will be another rate change to reflect the new services. As
always, you will be notified of the rate change prior to customers.
Your vote of confidence and acceptance of the franchise dictate that TCI
Cablevision of Colorado bring fiber optics and the future to this community. We
are pleased to take these exciting steps and will continue to offer the level of
service our customers expect.
