RE: APPROVE TWO QUIT CLAIMS DEEDS FOR OIL AND GAS RIGHTS TO PRESENT
OWNERS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - W'/: W'/= S28, T6N, R64W AND
E'/: S4, T5N, R64W
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with two Quit Claims Deeds for oil and gas rights
located in the W'h W'/: of Section 28, Township 6 North, Range 64 West, and in the E'/2 of
Section 4, Township 5 North, Range 64 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, and to the current owners, being more fully described and with terms and conditions being
as stated in said deeds, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said deeds, copies of
which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the two Quit Claims Deeds for oil and gas rights located in the W'/ W'/ of
Section 28, Township 6 North, Range 64 West, and in the EY2 of Section 4, Township 5
North, Range 64 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, between the County of Weld, State
of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and to the current
owners, be, and hereby are, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to
sign said deeds.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 21st day of February, A.D., 1996.

QUIT CLAIM DEED

Colorado, a body politic and corporate of the State of Colothdh of the first part, and to the current
owners, of the second part.
WITNESSETH, that the said party of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of
ONEDouge Mio No%m (8/.cs) , and other good and valuable consideration,to the said party of the
first part in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed
and acknowledged, has remised, released, sold, conveyed and QUIT CLAIMED, and by these
presents does remise,release, sell, convey and QUIT CLAIM unto the said party of the second part,
its heirs, successors and assigns, forever,all the right,title,interest,claim and demand which the said
party of the first part has in and to the following described lots or parcels of land situate, lying and
being in the County of Weld and State of Colorado, to wit:

proper use, benefit and behoof of the said party of the second part, heirs and assigns forever.

COLORADO Claim Deeds for Oil & Gas
This request is for two parcels, which were acquired by the County by Quit Claim Deeds for road
purposes only. The parcels appear to at least be partially used for WCR 64 west of WCR 53 and
WCR 55 north of WCR 60. The attached Quit Claim Deeds for oil and gas to the present owners
are intended to clarify that the County does not claim any interest in the oil and gas under the 30
or 40 foot wide strips of land described in each deed. These road rights-of-way are not typical
inasmuch as they were acquired by Quit Claim Deed"for road purposes only" and have a
provision for return of the strip of land upon abandonment. Therefore, any claim the County
might have to the oil and gas or other minerals is weaker than a claim they might have under a
typical right-of-way.
