Home My WebLink About971259.tiffRESOLUTION RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS WELD COUNTY ROADS WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), CRS: "...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said County roads by posting signs thereon. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, does declare and establish that the following roads be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective as listed and, further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions: Weld County Road 65 between Weld County Roads 74 and 78, effective June 2, 1997, due to flooding. WCR 78 between WCR 61 and WCR 65, closed until water recedes and repairs are made. The following roads were closed on June 13, 1997: Campo Road at Alto Way, closed until repairs can be made. WCR 50 at WCR 53, WCR 50 at WCR 55, WCR 50 at WCR 57, all due to flooding, closed until repairs can be made. WCR 57 at WCR 50 and WCR 52, closed until repairs can be made. 83rd Avenue between 20th St. and 10th St., closed until repairs can be done to bridge abutment. 71st Avenue at 20th St. and 10th Street, closed until repairs can be done to bridge abutment. WCR 54 1/4 between WCR 53 and WCR 55, closed until repairs can be made. The following road was closed on June 16, 1997: WCR 27 between WCR 96 and WCR 100, closed until repairs can be made.
