Dear Sir:
We are writing to express our opposition to the issuance of a liquor license for the
"Lotto" establishment owned by Sharon Parrill near the Colorado state line. We are
located directly south of her property.
Since there is already a liquor license owned by this person at her existing "strip joint" in
our locale,we would just like to say "Enough Already!!!. Not only is there a fire risk
attached to the fireworks extablishment near this business but the prospect of selling
intoxicants nearby only increases the possibility of irresponsible behavior.
We are not contemplating selling our property in the near future, but should it become
necessary, it is obvious that no family with children would consider the purchase of land
located near not just one, but two liquor establishments. It is apparent that Ms. Parrills'
motivation is one of greed and that she shows total disregard for the property owners in
the area.
On more than one occasion, it has been necessary for us to approach individuals
discharging fireworks on property adjacent to Mrs. Parrills'Lotto establishment. This
concern is shared by Steve Ault, our mortgage holder and owner of the property next to
ours.
Since the issuance of such a license would not only create an undesirable environment
for Lotto customers and contribute to highway risks,as property owner we can forsee
additional problems which we have outlined in this letter.
We hope that our concerns will be shared with those on the committee making this
decision and that you will rule against the issuance of this license.
