RE: APPROVE FORM OF ELECTION FOR NOVEMBER 7, 1995, COORDINATED GENERAL
ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the November 7, 1995, General Election is to be coordinated by the Weld
County Clerk and Recorder, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Colorado Secretary of State Election Regulation 5.2.2, the
various political subdivisions who expect to participate in the November coordinated election are
to notify the County Clerk and Recorder of their preference for the form of the coordinated election
by one hundred and ten days prior to the election, and
WHEREAS, on July 11, 1995, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, and J. A. "Suki" Tsukamoto, Weld County Clerk and Recorder, participated in a work
session wherein the Board of County Commissioners expressed its preference for a polling place
election for the November 7, 1995, General Election, and
WHEREAS, Ms. Tsukamoto has requested that the Board of County Commissioners
memorialize its desires in the form of a resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that for the political subdivision known as Weld County, Colorado, the Board
expresses its preference for the form of the coordinated general election to be held on November 7,
1995, as a polling place election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Clerk to the Board of County
Commissioners is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Weld County Clerk and
Recorder after signature.
