RE: APPROVE FEE SCHEDULE FOR FEES COLLECTED BY THE WELD COUNTY
DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING SERVICES FOR PROCESSING AND REVIEWING LAND-
USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on the 14th day of December, 1998, at 9:00 a.m.,
in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of considering a decrease in fees for a Subdivision
Exemption used with a Recorded Exemption, from $200 to $180, which is collected by the Weld
County Department of Planning Services for processing and reviewing land-use permit applications,
and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board deems it advisable to approve the proposed
fee schedule, effective January1, 1999, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein
by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the decrease in fees for a Subdivision Exemption used with a Recorded
Exemption, from $200 to $180, which is collected by the Weld County Department of Planning
Services for processing and reviewing land-use permit applications be, and hereby is, approved,
effective January 1, 1999.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 14th day of December, A.D., 1998.

The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, will conduct a public hearing at 9:00
a.m. on Monday, December 14, 1998, in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners, at the
Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado, for the purpose of
considering a decrease in fees for a Subdivision Exemption used with a Recorded Exemption, from
$200 to$180, which is collected by the Weld County Department of Planning Services for processing
and reviewing land-use permit applications.
All persons in any manner interested in the proposed fee schedule change are requested to attend and
may be heard.

SUMMARY OF THE WELD COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING •
Tuesday, November 3, 1998
A regular meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission was held on November 3, 1998, in the County
Commissioners' Hearing Room (Room#101), Weld County Centennial Building, 915 10th Street, Greeley,
Colorado. The meeting was called to order by Chair, Marie Koolstra, at 1:30 p.m.

The summary of the last regular meeting of the Weld County Planning Commission held on October 20,
1998, was approved as read.
Acceptance of 1999 Planning Commission Hearing Dates and Land-Use Fees
Monica Daniels-Mika, Department of Planning Services, presented the dates and fees for the 1999 year. The
only change to the Land Use applications fees are to the Subdivision Exemption used in conjunction with a
Recorded Exemption. The fee is currently at$200, and the proposed fee is $180, to be consistent with the
other Subdivision Exemption fees.
Arlan Marrs asked Monica about the proposed Transportation fees, and if they would be included. Monica
explained it could be May before we see this proposal.
The Chair asked if there was anyone in the audience who wished to speak for or against the proposal. No
one wished to speak.
Stephan Mokray moved to approve the proposed hearing dates and land use fees, and forward them to the
Board of County Commissioners. Michael Miller seconded the motion.
The Chair asked the secretary to poll the members of the Planning Commission for their decision. Marie
Koolstra, yes;Arlan Marrs, yes; Cristie Nicklas,yes; Stephan Mokray, yes; Michael Miller, yes. Motion carried
unanimously.

$17,114.00. The full amount shall be submitted to the Department of Planning Services at the time a complete application is
submitted. Tbe full amount shall be escrowed and charged against by the county based on the standard hourly rate for each
department administering or reviewing the permit. The departments shall include but not be limited to the Department of Planning
Services,Weld County Health Department,Weld County Public Works,and the Weld County Attorney's Office. The standard
hourly rate shall be established by the Weld County Finance Department for the actual time spent on the review of the application
and facility. The applicant shall be provided copies of the billing five days prior to the cost actually being billed against the escrow
account and the applicant. The applicants sole remedy to appeal any billing shall be to the Board of County Commissioners.
The unused portion of the submitted application fee held in escrow,shall be retumed to the applicant within 30 days of recording
the amended Special Review plan map,or within 30 days of recording the amended Special Review plan map,or within 30 days
after denial of the application by the Board of County Commissioners, or 30 days after the applicant submits a written request
to withdraw the application.
