IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 31-12-108(2) C.R.S.,
please find enclosed a copy of the published Notice of Public Hearing. Copies of Resolution
No. 6-1996 and the Petition were previously sent by the Town Clerk on March 27, 1996,
concerning the annexation to the Town of Mead of territory therein described. The provisions of
annexation laws of the State of Colorado require that such mailing be made to the Board of County
Commissioners of the County, the County Attorney and to each Special District or School District
having territory within the area to be annexed.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LITZENBERGER ANNEXATION NO.ONE
NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Town of Mead will hold a Public Hearing
commencing at 7:00 p.m., Monday,May 13, 1996, at the Mead Town Hall, 441 Third Street,Mead,
Colorado 80542.
The purpose of the Public Hearing will be to determine whether certain property for which an an-
nexation petition has been filed meets the applicable requirements of the statutes of the State of Colo-
rado and Is eligible for annexation to the Town of Mead,and to establish the appropriate classifica-
tion of zoning for the property.The legal description for the parcel is as follows:
A tract of land located in the Southeast Quarter of Section 9, Township 3 North,
Range 68 West of the Sixth Principal Meridian, County of Weld. State of Colorado,
said tract being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the South line of the Southeast Quarter of Section 9,Township
3 North, Range 68 West of the Sixth principal Meridian,from whence the Southwest
Corner of said Southeast Quarters bears South 89°41'21"West,943.34 feet and with all
other bearing contained herein relative thereto:
Thence North 00004'34' East 1.568.87 feet; thence North 89°53'30" East 160.00 feet to
the Northwest corner of Mead Square,a recorded subdivision in the Town of Mead,
Weld County,Colorado; thence South 00001'49" East 1,568.29 feet to the South line of
the Southeast Quarter of Section 9; thence South 89041'21" West 162.91 feet to the
point of beginning.
Any person may appear at the Public Hearing and be heard regarding the matters under consider-
ation.
Copies of the petition and the resolution finding that the petition is in substantial compliance with
the applicable laws of the State of Colorado are on file and available for public inspection in the Of
floe of the Town Clerk of the Town of Mead,at the Mead Town Hall,Mead,Colorado 80542.
