RE: DENOMINATION OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 27.5 (77TH AVENUE), BETWEEN
COLORADO STATE HIGHWAY 60 AND WELD COUNTY ROAD 54, AS THE "TWO
RIVERS PARKWAY"
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County Road 27.5 (77th Avenue), between Colorado State Highway
60 and Weld County Road 54, has recently been upgraded and paved for higher speed traffic,
and
WHEREAS, said roadway is planned and designed to ultimately carry traffic from
Colorado State Highway 60 to U.S. Highway 34 at 83rd Avenue, and
WHEREAS, the Board now deems it desirable to officially denominate said stretch of
roadway the "Two Rivers Parkway".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Weld County Road 27.5 (77th Avenue), between Colorado State
Highway 60 and Weld County Road 54, be and hereby is denominated as the "Two Rivers
Parkway."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Weld County Public Works
Department is hereby directed to add road signs with the following denomination at appropriate
locations along said roadway: TWO RIVERS PARKWAY.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 8th day of January, A.D., 1997.
