HomeMy WebLinkAbout991979.tiff HEARING CERTIFICATION RE: VIOLATIONS OF THE WELD COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE A public hearing was conducted on August 10, 1999, at 10:00 a.m , with the following present: Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer. Pro-Tern Commissioner George E. Baxter Commissioner M. J. Geile Commissioner Glenn Vaad Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Jean Gillingham County Attorney, Bruce Barker Planning Department representative, Sharyn Frazer The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that a public hearing was conducted to consider whether to authorize the County Attorney to proceed with legal action against the individuals named for violations of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance. Cases were heard as follows: VI #9900188 - LEE: Sharyn Frazer, Department of Planning Services, presented the case report for the record and stated the property is in violation of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance. Ms. Frazer added the complaint of a commercial trucking business was due to dump trucks with Roberts Excavating logo on them. Jennifer Lee, property owner, was present at the hearing. Ms. Lee stated Roberts Excavating is owned by her brother and the business is conducted out of Mead. Ms. Lee further stated her brother has been hauling debris from her property in the evening and weekends in an attempt to help clean up her property. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to dismiss VI #9900188 against Shawn and Jennifer Lee. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Vaad, and it carried unanimously. VI #9900109 - GOMEZ: Ms. Frazer presented the case report for the record and stated the property is in violation of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance Ms Frazer stated Mr. Gomez has made progress in cleaning up the property, but is still in violation. Ms. Frazer added the return card for Certified mail sent to Mr. Gomez was returned signed, however, verbal attempts to reach Mr. Gomez have been unsuccessful. 991979 de , PA CA PL0824 HEARING CERTIFICATION - ZONING VIOLATIONS August 10, 1999 PAGE 2 Mr. Gomez, property owner, or a representative were riot present at the hearing. Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to refer VI # 9900109 against Wayne Gomez to the County Attorney for legal action,with the instruction to delay action upon such referral until September 10, 1999, to allow Planning Services to continue working with Mr. Gomez in bringing the property into compliance. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Geile, and it carried unanimously. This Certification was approved on the 16th day of August, 1999.
