The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular
session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the
State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial
Center, Greeley, Colorado, October 27, 1997, at the hour of 9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following
members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden
MINUTES:
Commissioner Hall moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority
Board meeting of September 22, 1997, as printed. Commissioner Harbert
seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.
BUSINESS:
NEW: CONSIDER SECTION 8 ESTIMATES OF TOTAL REQUIRED ANNUAL
CONTRIBUTIONS FOR 1998 AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Jim
Sheehan, Department of Social Services, stated the total contributions required
for the Voucher program for 1998 are $1,016,439, down from $1,127,259 in
1997; however, the contributions required for the Section 8 Certificate program
are $793,197, up from last year's level of $782,329. Mr. Sheehan added that
these contributions are required by HUD. Commissioner Harbert moved to
approve said estimates. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the motion, which
carried unanimously.

CONSIDER CDBG CONTRACT CHANGE LETTER #1 AND AUTHORIZE
CHAIR TO SIGN: Mr. Sheehan stated the change letter extends the program
deadline from November 15, 1997, to May 31, 1998, to provide adequate time
to complete all remaining projects. This change letter is effective September 30,
1997, or upon full execution of said change letter. Commissioner Harbert
moved to approve said change letter. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the
motion, and it carried unanimously.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to
and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
There being no further business, this meeting was adjourned at 9:25 a.m.
