The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated March 13, 1996, and duly published March 21, 1996,
in the North Weld Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Sonja Martin
Young and Tom Young for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a
110-horse boarding, training, and breeding facility in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee
Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Todd Hodges, Planning
Department representative, stated CUP#48 for a principal residence exists on the subject property.
Mr. Morrison responded to the Board's questions and indicated CUP means Conditional Use
Permit. Mr. Hodges presented a brief summary -of the proposal and entered the favorable
recommendation of the Planning Commission into the record including the following additions:
Reason #3 which states "There is an existing Conditional Use Permit (CUP) #48 for a principle
residence on this site. CUP #48 is consistent with this proposal, and it is not the intent that
CUP#48 be vacated."; and Condition of Approval #8 and Development Standard #12 which both
state "The site shall maintain compliance with CUP#48 Conditions of Approval and Development
Standards." He noted the Development Standards must be renumbered consecutively. Sonja
Martin Young and Tom Young, applicants, were present and agreed to all Conditions of Approval
and Development Standards, including the additions. No public testimony was offered concerning
this matter. Commissioner Hall moved to approve the request of Sonja Martin Young and Tom
Young for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a 110-horse boarding,
training, and breeding facility in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, based on the recommendations
of the Planning staff and the Planning Commission, with the Conditions of Approval and
Development Standards as entered into the record and added by Mr. Hodges. The motion was
seconded by Commissioner Harbert, and it carried unanimously.
