HomeMy WebLinkAbout960584.tiff HEARING CERTIFICATION DOCKET NO. 96-14 RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT#1108 FOR A 110-HORSE BOARDING, TRAINING, AND BREEDING FACILITY IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - SONJA MARTIN YOUNG AND TOM YOUNG A public hearing was conducted on April 3, 1996, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present: Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair Commissioner George E. Baxter, Pro-Tem Commissioner Dale K. Hall Commissioner Constance L. Harbert Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison Planning Department representative, Todd Hodges The following business was transacted: I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated March 13, 1996, and duly published March 21, 1996, in the North Weld Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Sonja Martin Young and Tom Young for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a 110-horse boarding, training, and breeding facility in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Todd Hodges, Planning Department representative, stated CUP#48 for a principal residence exists on the subject property. Mr. Morrison responded to the Board's questions and indicated CUP means Conditional Use Permit. Mr. Hodges presented a brief summary -of the proposal and entered the favorable recommendation of the Planning Commission into the record including the following additions: Reason #3 which states "There is an existing Conditional Use Permit (CUP) #48 for a principle residence on this site. CUP #48 is consistent with this proposal, and it is not the intent that CUP#48 be vacated."; and Condition of Approval #8 and Development Standard #12 which both state "The site shall maintain compliance with CUP#48 Conditions of Approval and Development Standards." He noted the Development Standards must be renumbered consecutively. Sonja Martin Young and Tom Young, applicants, were present and agreed to all Conditions of Approval and Development Standards, including the additions. No public testimony was offered concerning this matter. Commissioner Hall moved to approve the request of Sonja Martin Young and Tom Young for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit for a 110-horse boarding, training, and breeding facility in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, based on the recommendations of the Planning staff and the Planning Commission, with the Conditions of Approval and Development Standards as entered into the record and added by Mr. Hodges.
