Box 850 Greeley, Colorado 80632-0850 (303)353-1232 DATE: January 26, 1995 TO: See Below ,:_ -'q FROM: Robin S neman/Region 4 Design SUBJECT: MEETING MINUTES FROM JANUARY 17, 1995 Na 0853-017 "O" Street Subacct: 92935 Attendees: Bill Andrews, City of Greeley; George CiCoff, Weld County; Dave Davis; George Rowe; John Crier; Jeff Kullman; John Olson; Robin Stoneman. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss whether to continue to close off the right northbound lane of US 85 and how best to use the reduced funds available for construction at "O" Street and US 85. The right northbound lane of US 85 Business has been closed since the interim construction was done in September 1994. The closure begins south of the US 85 overpass and continues past the "O" Street intersection. The lane closure striping has required repainting several times in the last five months. To make the lane closure more visible and more permanent, the City of Greeley will cross hatch the closure. The funds available for construction will be used to provide adequate accel/decel lanes for the existing 11th Avenue location and "O "Street westbound, a two inch overlay for US 85 and the 11th Avenue connector, lighting, signing, and ditch work on US 85. During the meeting, a decision was made to move 11th Avenue 'T' intersection further south but still within the existing ROW. This will increase the turning radii and allow the old location to remain open until the new location construction is complete. The City also requested that CDOT purchase the ROW required to construct the 11th Avenue connector. RJS/cm cc: D. Rames L. G. Duncan L. Garton D. Davis J. Crier J. Kullman B.
