RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - SCT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to the Contract
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, and SCT, effective January 1, 1998, with terms and conditions
being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to the Contract between the County of Weld,
State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and
SCT be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 3rd day of September, A.D., 1997.

According to Section 6.2 of the agreement between Weld County and SCT, each year a Cost
of Living Adjustment should be calculated and used to adjust the payment schedule. The base
Denver -Boulder Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners (CPI -W) as of June 30, 1996
was 147.9. The CPI -W as of June 30, 1997 is 152.7. This represents an increase of 3.25%.
