HomeMy WebLinkAbout972152.tiffRESOLUTION RE: ITEMIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS DURING CALENDAR YEAR 1998 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, following is a list of holidays proposed for 1998 as days off for Weld County employees: New Year's Day Washington/Lincoln Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Veterans Day Thanksgiving Christmas Thursday, January 1, 1998, and Friday, January 2, 1998 (replaces Colorado Day) Monday, February 16, 1998 Monday, May 25, 1998 July 4th falls on Saturday, therefore, Friday, July 3, 1998, is taken Monday, September 7, 1998 Wednesday, November 11, 1998 Thursday, November 26, 1998, and Friday, November 27, 1998 (replaces King's Birthday) Thursday, December 24, 1998, (replaces Columbus Day) and Friday, December 25, 1998 FLOATING HOLIDAYS: Sheriffs Department (Court Personnel) -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of Colorado. District Attorney -- January 2, November 27, and December 24, 1998. Human Resources -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by State of Colorado. Head Start and Transportation -- Will follow holiday schedule as set by School District #6. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of October, A.D., 1997.
