BOX 758 GREELEY, COLORADO 80632 PHONE (970)356-4000 EXT. 4848 May 10, 1999 Ms. Roberta Monchak, Program Administrator 11I Division of Community Corrections 710 Kipling Street, #200 Lakewood, CO 80215 Dear Ms. Monchak: The Weld County Community Corrections Board allocation for ISP Inmates for FY 1998-99 was originally $40,000. Through the Change Order process, the Board's allocation was reduced to $25,000. This was reasonable, because at the beginning of this year the program was averaging 5- 6 ISP inmates per month Due to the recent Department of Corrections push to increase the ISP Inmate population, the last number of months the program has been averaging 21 ISP Inmates per month being served by the program. We anticipate that this average of 21 through out the FY 1999.2000. The average per month cost for next year will be $3,400, resulting in the need for $40,800 dollars for 1SP Inmate Services for the next year in this jurisdiction. Your department has retained the $25,000 allocation for next year which will clearly not be adequate. If there are any available funds the Board would appreciate an increase in it's allocation. If you should have questions about this matter please contact myself or Adam Moorehead „ the local 1SP Officer. Thank you for your consideration of this matter.
