RE: DECLARE CERTAIN EQUIPMENT AS SURPLUS PROPERTY, AND AUTHORIZE
SALE OF SAME TO THORIDON ELECTRIC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, State statute and the Weld County Administrative Manual require that all
items disposed of be declared surplus by the Board of County Commissioners, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a bid proposal from Thoridon Electric,
and
WHEREAS, the County has determined that certain equipment, described as an Onan
Generator, being more fully described in said proposal which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference, is no longer required for County use, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a proposal from Thoridon Electric to
buy said equipment for and in consideration of the sum of$850, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to declare said equipment as surplus and
approve said bid proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned equipment be, and hereby is, declared
surplus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the bid proposal from Thoridon Electric
in the amount of$850, be, and hereby is, approved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted

Weld County will accept bids for a 38 kw , 3 phase, Onan Generator approximately 20 years old.
It is powered by a Ford 6 cylinder industrial engine and is propane fueled. To see unit, call for an
appointment at Weld County Purchasing, (970) 356-4000 extension #4222. Closed bids will be
accepted at Weld County Purchasing Department, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado by 10:00 a.m.
