Dear Ms. McFarland and Ms. Dickerson:
As discussed with Ben Patten, Eric Jerman and myself, the 50 foot monopole with a personal
CB antenna is a use allowed by right in the Agricultural Zone District as long as the 70 foot
height is not exceeded. Further, it was determined that the proposed use does not constitute a
substantial change to the Special Use Permit#USR-486.
The Weld County Department of Planning Services, as communicated by Ben Patten yesterday
afternoon, does have concerns regarding the proposed sign. Please contact the Department of
Planning Services concerning plans for such signage. In addition, the Colorado Department of
Transportation may have additional concerns and should be consulted on this matter. Please
contact Tess Jones or Gloria Idler at the Greeley office at (970) 350-2148 to discuss plans for a
sign along US Highway 34.
