HomeMy WebLinkAbout972424RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE WELD COUNTY ATTORNEY TO PROCEED WITH LEGAL ACTION AGAINST JACKIE R. WEBB FOR VIOLATION OF THE WELD COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Jackie R. Webb, VI #9700135, is allegedly in violation of the Weld County Zoning Ordinance, and WHEREAS, despite efforts by the Planning staff to resolve said matter, the violation has not been corrected, and WHEREAS, on the 18th day of November, 1997, a public hearing was held before the Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of hearing testimony relating to said violation, and WHEREAS, Jackie R. Webb, property owner, was not present or represented at said hearing, although all parties were notified of said hearing by Department of Planning Services staff, and WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to bring legal action against the individual as hereinabove named to correct said violation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Weld County Attorney be, and hereby is, authorized to proceed with legal action against Jackie R. Julie Chester of Weld County Planning Services was also present during the inspection and the following observations were made: People appear to be living in the campers. There was no water connection to the campers and sewage/liquid wastes were not being discharged. The "residents" of the campers stated that they are using her sisters home across the street to take showers and to use the toilet. Based on the above inspection findings this situation does not pose a threat to public health and/or the environment at this time, however the Environmental Protection Division will work closely with Planning to monitor the situation.
