The address is located within the NW 1/4 of Section 33, T2N, R67W. Our client, PageNet, is expanding its services to include Alpha and Numeric Paging. The equipment needed for this service will include 1 whip antenna for transmission and 2 for receive, all to be located between 100 and 200 feet above ground. The equipment to operate this site will be housed within 1 cabinet located within the building at the base of the tower. Presently a lease has been signed between Paging Network of Colorado, Inc. (PageNet) and Tsunami Communications, Inc. I would appreciate hearing from you as to what procedures, if any, I need to follow in order to add this equipment to the tower. QUALITY COLORADO MEMORANDUM To: File February 20, 1997 From: Monica Daniels -Mika, Director, Dept. of Planning Services ,/1/1 Subject: USR-776 On February 14, 1997, Chris Goranson, a Planner with Weld County and I visited the proposed site to talk to Rick Holpp with Western Wireless. Western Wireless is proposing an expansion of the antenna. During the site visit I noticed that the site is not in compliance. There is a great deal of noncommercial junkyard activity occurring on the site. Some of the included items are snowmobile on site, snowmobile parts, crates, building materials, piping, fencing and a sundry of other types of materials. In addition to that, I have some concerns about the mobile home being located on site. pc: Julie Chester holpp.sef SERVICE, TEAMWORK, INTEGRITY, QUALITY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION NOTES: FEBRUARY 19, 1997 Commissioners Baxter, Harbert, Hall, Kirkmeyer, and Webster present Staff: Vicky Sprague Sosa Family Request: Monica Daniels -Mika, Shani Eastin, Bruce Barker, Lee Morrison John and Patricia Sosa requested a medical hardship permit to enable them to care for two grandsons with muscular dystrophy. A triple -wide modular home with a specific weight and span is required. A modular of that size requires a cement foundation, not temporary blocks. The board agreed to allow the modular to be placed on a concrete slab. However, a full foundation complete with walls will not be allowed. Western Wireless Request: Monica Daniels -Mika, Chris Goranson, Bruce Barker, Lee Morrison Western Wireless is requesting an expansion. USR-776 was approved by the board July 8, 1987, for a high radio transmitter tower. Since the original approval, there have been additions approved by staff that were considered minor; therefore, no amendments to the existing USR were required. They are now requesting these additions: three PCS panel antenna arrays, four eight -foot diameter microwave dishes, and three four -foot diameter microwave dishes. Staff expressed concern over the number of additions to the tower since the original permit. The board agreed to allow the additional dishes, but junk on the premises needs to be cleaned up. The commissioners agreed they prefer co -locations rather than additional towers. cc: Commissioners County Council Don Warden Monica Daniels -Mika Shani Eastin Chris Goranson Bruce Barker Lee Morrison COLORADO O Q MEMORANDUM TO: Board of County Commissioners February 19, 1997 From: Chris Gorans rrent Planner SUBJECT: History of expansion on USR-776 CC: Monica•Daniels-Mika, Lee Morrison July 8, 1987- Board of County Commissioners approves USR-776. Dear Mrs. Daniels -Mika, I'm representing Western Wireless PCS which has bought an FCC auctioned linen se to provide Personal Communications Service (PCS) to the Colorado major trading area. Because of the need to provide service , for Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono, and the delinquency of ground line telephone service to some of our sites, it has become nriv-seltry to attach the following equipment to a leased portion of the existing 1200' Suckla Farms Radio Tower: 3 PCS panel antenna arrays (51" x 11" x 3" per panel) to provide FCC licensed and required service to the Frederick, Firestone, and Dacono area. • four 8' diameter microwave dishes at 367', 332', 135', and 109' (height may vary). • three 4' diameter microwave dishes at 670' and 50' (height may vary). The existing tower is used for radio transmission which is consistent with our purpose. It already has approximately I2 existing dishes attached to it A majority of the dishes are 8' diameter with one 15' diameter dish. The dishes we are proposing will act as a hub link for sites that are either waiting for land -line telephone service connections or lying in remote locations. The Dacono site rtpu-aents an integral link in our system launch Please give nit a call if you have any questions. My phone number is 303-638-3087, fax 303-313-8010.
