DOCKET NO. 95-19
RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND AMENDED SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT #764
FOR EXPANSION OF AN EXISTING AGRICULTURAL SERVICE ESTABLISHMENT IN
THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - MONFORT, INC.
A public hearing was conducted on March 8, 1995, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chairman
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tem - TARDY
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Keith Schuett
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated February 15, 1995, and duly published February 23,
1995, in the Windsor Beacon, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Monfort,
Inc., for a Site Specific Development Plan and Amended Special Review Permit for expansion of
an existing agricultural service establishment in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee Morrison,
Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Keith Schuett, Planning Department
representative, entered the favorable recommendation of the Planning Commission into the record
as written.
Let the record reflect Commissioner Kirkmeyer is now present.
Ronald Lambden, Associate General Counsel for Monfort, Inc., represented the applicant and
stated the proposal is for two facilities to be built immediately and -other facilities may or may not
be added. He explained one building will be for alcohol and drug testing required by the
Department of Transportation, and the other will be for expansion of the food servicing. Mr.
Lambden confirmed all Conditions of Approval and Development Standards are accepted as
presented by staff and the Planning Commission. No public testimony was offered concerning this
matter. Commissioner Webster moved to approve the request of Monfort, Inc., for a Site Specific
Development Plan and Amended Special Review Permit for expansion of an existing agricultural
service establishment in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, based on the recommendations of the
Planning staff and the Planning Commission, with the Conditions of Approval and Development
Standards as entered into the record. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Baxter, and
it carried unanimously.
This Certification was approved on the 13th day of March, 1995.
