Last week our firm had prepared a proposal to the County to provide consulting services. To ensure prompt delivery, we forwarded the proposal to the Purchasing Department via Federal Express. As a matter of practice, I called to verify its arrival. With the courteous assistance of Ms. Rose Everett in the Purchasing Department, who searched the office for our proposal, I learned that it had not been delivered. After a phone conversation with Federal Express in which I learned that, due to some problems, the proposal would not be delivered within the County's deadline, I again spoke to Ms. Everett to explain the situation. She was very helpful and understanding and suggested that, if we faxed a copy of the proposal, she would retrieve it in time for the proposal opening, which she did. Firms like ours spend considerable time and effort in preparing such proposals, so you can understand our consternation when something that we can't control goes awry. We greatly appreciate Ms. Everett's assistance in this matter and, more importantly, I appreciated her willingness to help and her pleasant and courteous attitude. To a complete stranger, she represented Weld County very well and she should be commended. I hope you can find a minute to compliment her and to again thank her for me. Sincerely. ELOLT & ULLEVIG Robert W. Felsburg, P.E., C. .E. Principal cc: D.
