Home My WebLink About961374.tiff /S7 RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE VACATION OF PORTION OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 50 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with the vacation of a portion of Weld County Road 50, and WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 31st day of July, 1996, at which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to August 12, 1996, due to notice of such date being mailed to adjacent property owner, National Hog Farms, Inc., pursuant to Section 43-2-303(2)(b), CRS, and WHEREAS, on August 12, 1996, the Board considered the vacation of those portions of Weld County Road 50 as described in the property descriptions and highlighted on the plat, all of which are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A, and WHEREAS, after study and review, the Board deemed it advisable to approve said vacation of right-of-way to National Hog Farms, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the vacation of those portions of Weld County Road 50 as described in the attached Exhibit A be, and hereby is, approved. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 12th day of August, A.D., 1996. Inc. 25000 WCR 69 Kersey, CO 80644 ' RE: Vacation of a Portion of Weld County Road 50 Dear Sirs: Weld County, Colorado, is in its final stages of its work on the reconstruction of Weld County Bridge 50/67A. In the course of the reconstruction work, the roadway has been straightened such that it intersects Weld County Road("WCR") 380 perpendicularly. The old connection roadway, WCR 50, from the bridge to WCR 380, is no longer needed. The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, now desires to vacate the old roadway and thereby complete the project. Please be advised that on Monday, August 12, 1996, the Board of County Commissioners will consider the vacation of those portions of\VCR 50 which are described in the enclosed property description and which are highlighted on the enclosed plat. A resolution to vacate the roadway will be presented to the Board at that time. Pursuant to § 43-2-303(2)(b), C.R.S., you are hereby notified of the hearing and of your opportunity to present any evidence or oral testimony to the Board of County Commissioners regarding the vacation. The hearing will take place in the Board's first floor meeting room at 9:00 a.m. at the Weld Centennial Center Complex, 915 Tenth Street, Greeley, Colorado.
