RE: GRANT REQUEST FOR EARLY RELEASE OF BUILDING PERMIT - LITTLE
THOMPSON WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, has
received from the Little Thompson Water District a request for early release of a building permit
prior to recording the plat for Use by Special Review#1192 (Amended SUP#177) for a Treated
Water Storage Tank and future Tower Site, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to allow the early
issuance of a building permit for the following described real estate, to wit:
Part of the NE'/ of Section 4, Township 4 North,
Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that a building permit be issued to the Little Thompson Water District on the
above described parcel of land.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of September, A.D., 1998.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Special Use Permit Application on the Twin
Mounds 5.0 MG Water Tank project. I am writing this letter on behalf of the Little
Thompson Water District to request an early release of the building permit for this
project. It is imperative to the operation of the District that this tank be completed by the
spring of 1999. In order meet this completion date the tank must be erected this winter
and painted in the early spring. The District has secured a contractor to do the work. The
contractor is ready to start construction pending the approval of the USR by the County
Commission. It is anticipated that for the first few weeks construction activities will be
limited to site grading and preparation work for the tank foundation. Actual erection of
the tank will probably not begin for 3-5 weeks.
