The Weld County Board of Health met August 26, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. in the First
Floor Assembly Room of the Weld County Centennial Center. Those present
included:
Board Members: Ben Slater, Chair; Constantin Skoumbourdis, Vice
Chair; Melvin Brown, Mary Ellen Stoll, Frank Torsleff, Roy Spitzer,
Anne White, Judith S. Yamaguchi.
Others: John S. Pickle, Director of Weld County Health Department;
Cheryl Weinmeister, Handicapped Children's Program Coordinator, Weld
County Health Department; Jeffery L. Stoll, Director, Environmental
Protection Services, Weld County Health Department; and Pam Smith,
Environmental Protection Specialist, Weld County Health Department.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
A motion was made by Constantin Skoumbourdis to approve the agenda as presented.
Mary Ellen Stoll seconded the motion, and the motion was carried unanimously.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Constantin Skoumbourdis to approve the July 22, 1997,
minutes as submitted. Mary Ellen Stoll seconded the motion, and the motion was
carried unanimously.
ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT
John Pickle, Director of Weld County Health Department spoke about health funding
and gave an update of the APEX committee.
Cheryl Weinmeister, R.N. gave a presentation regarding the Handicapped Children's
Program. This program is for children with special needs. She informed board
members of services provided by Weld County Health Department.
Jeff Stoll gave a brief report regarding a prairie dog die -off and the
encephalitis program.
Char Davis spoke about the E.Coli outbreak, and she gave an update of Hudson
products.

presented. Frank Torsleff seconded the motion, the motion was carried
unanimously.

Torsleff seconded the motion, the motion was carried unanimously.
