HomeMy WebLinkAbout961173.tiff RESOLUTION RE: AUTHORIZE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CONVENE AS A BOARD OF EQUALIZATION FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1996 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Section 39-8-101, CRS, as amended, provides that the Board of County Commissioners shall constitute a Board of Equalization for the adjustment and equalization of assessments among the several taxpayers of Weld County, Colorado, and to review the assessment roll of all taxable property located in Weld County, as prepared by the Assessor, and to hear appeals from the determination of said assessments fixed and made by the County Assessor of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, said Board of Equalization shall convene on July 1, 1996, and thereafter may convene and adjourn on each day following, through the 5th day of August, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that said Board shall sit as a Board of Equalization beginning on July 1, 1996. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of July, A.D., 1996, nunc pro tunc July 1, 1996. Webster 961173 AS0034 Cc: /45 NOTICE DOCKET NO. 96-33 Pursuant to Section 39-8-104, Colorado Revised Statutes, notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, will sit as the County Board of Equalization, in its Chambers in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, Greeley, Colorado, beginning on the 1st day of July, 1996, to review the assessment rolls of all taxable property located in the County, as prepared by the Assessor, and to hear appeals from determinations of the Assessor, and will continue said hearing from day to day through August 5, 1996, as necessary. Should any interested party desire the presence of a Court reporter to make a record of the proceedings, in addition to the taped record which will be kept during the hearing, the Clerk to the Board's Office shall be advised in writing of such action at least five days prior to the hearing.
