RE: HEARING TO ALLOW CITIZENS TO REVIEW AND COMMENT ON THE PERFORMANCE
OF THE COUNTY OF WELD IN CARRYING OUT THE WATTENBERG WATER SYSTEM
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT IN WATTENBERG, COLORADO
A public hearing was conducted on December 22, 1997, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem - EXCUSED
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:

The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 1, 1997, and duly published December
3, 1997, in the Platteville Herald, a public hearing was conducted to allow citizens to review and
comment on the performance of the County of Weld in carrying out the Wattenberg Water System
Improvement Project in Wattenberg, Colorado. Don Warden, Director of Finance and
Administration, requested the Board continue this hearing to January 7, 1998. Mr. Warden
explained the building which will house the disinfectant equipment is complete; however, it will not
be operational until the 29th or 30th of December. Mr. Warden stated the equipment operators
have not yet completed their training, therefore the building is not fully operational. Commissioner
Kirkmeyer moved to continue said hearing to January 7, 1998 at 9:00 a.m. Commissioner Hall
seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.

The County of Weld will conduct a public hearing at 9:00 a.m., on Monday, December 22,
1997, in the Chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, Weld
County Centennial Center, 915 10th Street, First Floor, Greeley, Colorado. The purpose of the
hearing is to allow citizens to review and comment on the performance of the County of Weld in
carrying out the Wattenberg Water System Improvement Project in Wattenberg, Colorado, which
was financed with federal Community Development Block Grant funds provided by the State of
Colorado.
Written comments are also welcome and must be received by December 22, 1997, in the
office of the Clerk to the Board, 915 10th Street, P.O. Box 758, Greeley, Colorado 80632.
Information and records regarding the above described project are available at the office of the
Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners, located in the Weld County Centennial Center, 915
10th Street, Third Floor, Greeley, Colorado, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Advance notice is requested.
