To whom it may concern,
My name is Aaron Shaffer and I have been involved in Scouting for ten years. I
am now prepared to start on my Eagle project, and have found a project in Weld County
that I feel will benefit our community.
It has come to my attention that the missile silo near Windsor is also the site for a
park and play ground for children. The playground is in a state of decay and disrepair
and is no longer safe for children to use. I contacted Pete Ambros, the carekeeper and
he discussed what was needed in order for the children to use the playground. This
project will include the use of cutting torches to remove bolts, and then to replace rotten
wood with new and rebuild the structures with new bolts.
I am in need of the following items in order to do this project; fourteen 6 inch
diameter logs that are ripped down the center,ten 4 inch diameter logs, and 100 fourteen
inch bolts with nuts and 200 washers to fit the bolts.
The first thing that I must do is to receive donations for the supplies needed. If
you are able to help with the supplies I have listed it would be greatly appreciated. I
would like to begin construction on the playground facility sometime in mid January.

help with materials. I will be at home for contact between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
