CERTIFICATE NO. 311 OF 1955:
WHEREAS, the County Treasurer has requested authorization
to cancel County Tax Sale Certificate No. 311 of 1955 for the 1954
taxes against improvements on Ground Puritan Camp in Section 34,
Township 2, Range 68 with the taxes of 1955 to 1961 endorsed
thereon, and
WHEREAS, an investigation proves that an erroneous
assessment was made.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, authorize the County
Treasurer to cancel County Tax Sale Certificate No. 311 of 1955
for the 1954 taxes against improvements on Ground Puritan Camp in
Section 34, Township 2, Range 68 with the taxes of 1955 to 1961
endorsed thereon.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote:

Dear Sirs:
On July 6, 1961, I issued a Certificate of Taxes Due on
L 13 Puritan Sub of SWk: Sec. 34-2-63 showing no taxes then owning.
When we re —checked all tax sales and made a new index we
cross indexed against this description as follows:"Imps. on Ground Puritan
Camp SW4: Sec. 34-2-68"; not being pin pointed, we put this tax sale against
all lots described as being in Puritan Sub and advised them of this tax sale.
Now, the Assessor has made an investigation of these Imps.
and states that they are located on Lot 7, Puritan Sub, which has nothing to do
with Lot 13, Puritan Sub. therefore, no tax sale should have been indexed against
Lot 13. I contend tkat this was an erroneous assessment and should be cancelled
because for next year, it will be assessed correctly as Imps. on Lot 7, Puritan
Sub. .R5, sce-J--6,g
Therefore, I request a resolution authorizing the County
Treasurer to cancel County Tax Sale Certificate No. 311 of 1955 for the 1954
taxes against Imps on Ground Puritan Camp SW4: Sec. 34-2-68 with the taxes of
1955 to 1961 endorsed thereon.
I would be glad to explain this more fully at your meeting
to -day.
