RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER WHETHER
TO RENEW TAVERN LIQUOR LICENSE FOR J. MONTES, INC., DBA EL RODEO
NIGHT CLUB
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 13th day of January, 1999, to
consider whether to renew a Tavern Liquor License for J. Montes, Inc., dba El Rodeo Night
Club, at which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter to January 27, 1999,
at 9:00 a.m., at which time the applicant's attorney will be present.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to
January 27, 1999, at 9:00 a.m.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 13th day of January, A.D., 1999.

RE: PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER WHETHER TO RENEW TAVERN LIQUOR LICENSE
FOR J. MONTES, INC., DBA EL RODEO NIGHT CLUB
A public hearing was conducted on January 13, 1999, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tern
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner Glenn Vaad
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated December 23, 1998, and duly published
December 26, 1998, in the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to consider whether
to renew the Tavern Liquor License for J. Montes, Inc., dba El Rodeo Night Club. Bruce Barker,
County Attorney, made this a matter of record. He stated the applicant's attorney, Daniel Carr,was
not able to be present today and has requested this matter be continued January 27, 1999, at 9:00
a.m. Mr. Barker stated notice of this date has been published and Deputy Mark Profitt and Deputy
Michael Stark have also been notified of the date.
Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to continue the public hearing to consider whether to renew the
Tavern Liquor License for J. Montes, Inc., dba El Rodeo Night Club to January 27, 1999, at 9:00
a.m. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Vaad, and it carried unanimously.
