HomeMy WebLinkAbout970302.tiffRESOLUTION RE: SETTING THE AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION FOR ELECTION JUDGES AND BRANCH REGISTRARS - EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 1997 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, Section 1-6-115, CRS 1973, as amended, allows that in all elections in all precincts each judge of election shall receive not less than Five Dollars ($5) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100) as full compensation for services as judge at any such election, as shall be determined by the Board of County Commissioners, and WHEREAS, the Clerk and Recorder of Weld County has recommended the election judges be compensated at Eighty Dollars ($80) per election. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has, after careful consideration, deemed it advisable to approve the compensation as hereinabove stated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the amount of compensation for election judges be, and hereby is, set at Eighty Dollars ($80) per election. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that this order shall be effective as of March 1, 1997, and shall continue in full force until further order of the Board. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of February, A.D., 1997.
