Dear Ms.Kirkmeyer,
. We the homeowners of West Hill N-Park respectfully direct your attention to the yet
undeveloped parks in our neighborhood. These parks were required as put of the West Hfall-N-
Park racial Unit Development Plan approved by the Commissioners on January 5, 1971.
The present state of our park land is deplorable. The Developers;John Shupe,Roy&
Elmer Lundvall have apparently sold one park to make room for additional mobile homes. The
ren> iaiag park land is being used as a landfill by the developers and others. Rather than
enhi sing our community this park space has actually become a liability. It has become a
repository of concrete, scrap metal,used oil and other trash.
As homeowners and county residents we request that you withhold fourth filing permits.
We believe if you do not withhold these permits that you will have no future leverage with these
notorious developers. It will be impossible for anyone to get them to dean up these sites,replace
sold parkland,and install the parks as per your 1971 requirement. Please do not let these men
get with little more than a simple"trust ate." We are concerned that they may not only do
but as soon as they have your approval for the latest filing that they may than sell the
park land.
In addition,many who live in the first filing fed that just because their homes are older and
man3r are mobile homes that the Commissioners are not willing to make the Developers put in
their parka. They feel that they are being discriminated against. If this issue is not resolved it will
only divide our neighborhood between those who have a park and those who do not.
Thank you for your attention to these matters. We believe that as our elected
representatives that you understand our situation and will offer your help. We await your written
reaper*to our concerns and request.
