KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS : That HS Resources, Inc., a
Delaware corporation, for good and valid consideration does hereby release, relinquish,
quit-claim and surrender to the Lessor, Weld County, a political subdivision of the State
of Colorado, by the Board Of County Commissioners, for its respective interest, its heirs,
assigns and legal representatives, all right, title and interest, including the release and
waiver of the right of homestead, in and to a certain oil and gas lease, made and entered
into by and between Weld County, a political subdivision of the State of Colorado, by the
Board Of County Commissioners, for its respective interest, as Lessor and Leland S.
Vance, as Lessee, dated the 29'" day of April, 1970, insofar as same covers the following
described land, to-wit:
Township 3 North, Range 67 West, 6'" P.M.
Section 21 : Part of the SE/4SW/4SW/4 lying South & East of
UPRR Co. R/W (0.4 acre) also part of E/2SW/4
commencing at SW corner of section; thence due East
along the center line of County road 1681 .4' ; thence
North at right angles 916.5 ' to the true point of
beginning; thence South 60°56' East 200' ; thence
Southwest and parallel to the UPRR R/W 75 ' ; thence
at right angles North 60°56' West 200' ; thence
Northeast and parallel to the UPRR R/W 75' to the
point of beginning (1 .0 acre).
containing 1 .4 acres, more or less, situated in the County of Weld and State of Colorado,
said lease being recorded in the office of the Clerk & Recorder in and for said county, in
Book 630, Reception Number 1551545. This Release of Oil and Gas Lease is hereby
