Effective April 1, 1999,the price for monthly service will change as follows: Prior Rate New Rate Change Limited Basic 9.32 9.13 - .19 Expanded Basic 13.05 14.00 + .95 Value Pac 3.88 4.99 + 1.11 Preferred Basic 26.25 28.12 + .87 I have enclosed a sample copy of the notice sent to each customer, that not only informs them of the increase, but also includes a complete rate card of all Comcast Cable products and services. I can assure you that we calculate our revised prices in complete accordance with the FCC rules. Value Pac is an unregulated service of optional channels customers can choose much like they choose premium channel services. To insure that customers do not overlook or misunderstand the notice, we will use direct mail, newspaper ads,bill inserts and infomercials to deliver our message. We are working hard to bring our customers the highest quality products and services. For example, in the last two years, we added seven new channels (14BO2, The Golf Channel, Sci-Fi Network, The Outdoor Life Network, The FOX News Network, Game Show Network, and Nickelodeon's TV Land). This year, we will add Comedy Central, expand the Golf Channel to full time and offer Great American Country. We are confident that we are providing our cable customers with more value than ever.
