RE: APPLICATION FOR A 3.2 PERCENT BEER RETAIL LICENSE-DIXIE KINGSBURY,DBA
P&M RECREATION
A public hearing was conducted on August 17, 1998,at 9:00 a.m.,with the following present:
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Chair
Commissioner W. H.Webster,Pro-Tern
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner Dale K. Hall-EXCUSED
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce Barker
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated July 21, 1998, and duly published July 29, 1998, in
the Platteville Herald,a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Dixie Kingsbury,
dba P&M Recreation for a 3.2 Percent Beer Retail License. Bruce Barker,County Attorney,made
this a matter of record and stated the neighborhood to be served by this license. He further stated
the application is complete,the applicant has paid the required fees,and Commissioner Baxter was
nominated to inspect the site. Commissioner Baxter reported that he inspected the site; however,
it was closed when he arrived so he could only view the inside of the establishment from the front
window. He indicated a letter sent to Ms. Kingsbury, dated August 12, 1998, stating the
establishment meets all the necessary requirements. No public testimony was offered concerning
this matter.
Commissioner Webster moved to approve the request of Dixie Kingsbury,dba P& M Recreation
for a 3.2 Percent Beer Retail License. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Kirkmeyer,and
it carried unanimously.
