RE: APPROVE SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW
PERMIT#1115 FOR A HOME BUSINESS (SALES OF PRINTED PRODUCTS) IN THE A
(AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT - BOWEN AND ANJE HYMA
A public hearing was conducted on May 8, 1996, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Chair
Commissioner George E. Baxter, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Dale K. Hall
Commissioner Constance L. Harbert
Commissioner W. H. Webster
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Shelly Miller
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Shani Eastin
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated April 15, 1996, and duly published April 25, 1996,
in the North Weld Herald, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of Bowen and
Anje Hyma for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit #1115 for a home
business (sales of printed products) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District. Lee Morrison, Assistant
County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Shani Eastin, Planning Department representative,
presented a brief summary of the proposal and entered the favorable recommendation of the
Planning Commission into the record as written. She confirmed the Town of Hudson had no
conflict and noted the applicant lives in the existing mobile home and operates the business from
a trailer on site. Responding to questions from the Board, Ms. Eastin also confirmed there is an
existing turkey farm operating in the area under a Special Review Permit. Bowen Hyma, applicant,
was present and stated the reason for this Permit is to operate his office on his property next to his
home. He agreed with all Conditions of Approval and Development Standards, and no public
testimony was offered. Commissioner Harbert moved to approve the request of Bowen and Anje
Hyma for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit#1115 for a home business
(sales of printed products) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, based on the recommendations of
the Planning staff and the Planning Commission, with the Conditions of Approval and Development
Standards as entered into the record. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Baxter, and
it carried unanimously.
