RE: SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND SPECIAL REVIEW PERMIT #1241 FOR A
RECREATIONAL FACILITY (GOLF COURSE) IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE
DISTRICT - EATON COUNTRY CLUB
A public hearing was conducted on October 20, 1999, at 10:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Dale K. Hall, Chair
Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer, Pro-Tern
Commissioner George E. Baxter
Commissioner M. J. Geile
Commissioner Glenn Vaad - EXCUSED
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick
Assistant County Attorney, Lee Morrison
Planning Department representative, Kim Ogle
Health Department representative, Sheble McConnellogue
Public Works representative, Don Carroll
The following business was transacted:
I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated October 1, 1999, and duly published October 6,
1999, in the Fort Lupton Press, a public hearing was conducted to consider the request of the
Eaton Country Club, c/o John Sohl, Growling Bear, for a Site Specific Development Plan and
Special Review Permit#1241 for a Recreational Facility (golf course) in the A (Agricultural) Zone
District. Lee Morrison, Assistant County Attorney, made this a matter of record. Kim Ogle,
Department of Planning Services, requested this matter be continued to November 3, 1999, at
10:00 a.m., because he failed to post a sign on the property for this hearing. In response to Chair
Hall, Mr. Ogle stated he was unaware of his responsibility to post a sign and the applicant was not
notified of his request of a continuance; however, the applicant is not present.
No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
Commissioner Kirkmeyer moved to continued the request of the Eaton Country Club, %John Sohl,
Growling Bear for a Site Specific Development Plan and Special Review Permit #1241 for a
Recreational Facility (Golf Course) in the A (Agricultural) Zone District, to allow Department of
Planning Services staff adequate time to post a sign. The motion was seconded by Commissioner
Baxter, and it carried unanimously. In response to Commissioner Geile, Mr. Ogle stated the
applicant has begun construction.
