Case Number: USR-478 Name: Johnson, Robert and Katherine Environmental Protection Services has reviewed this proposal and recommends for approval, subject to the following conditions: 1. Dog manure, and other associated liquid and solid wastes, shall be stored and removed for final disposal in a manner that pro- tects against surface and groundwater contamination. 2. No permanent disposal of wastes shall be permitted at this site. 3. An I.S.D.S. Evaluation on all existing septic systems will be necessary prior to issuing the amended USR. 4. Wood shavings, saw dust, and waste materials shall be handled, stored, and disposed in a manner that controls fugitive dust, blowing debris, and other potential nuisance conditions. 5. Fugitive dust must be confined on this site. 6. Maximum permissible noise level shall not exceed the industrial limit of 80db(A), as measured according to 25-12-102, Colorado Revised Statutes. 7. If the work force increases to more than one person, an individual sewage disposal system, is required for the facility and shall be installed according to the Weld County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations. Schuett Dear Keith, The Brighton Fire Prevention Bureau has received the packet on the above mentioned case and shall make the following comments. 1.) In the description of the proposed operation and use, the applicants state that the site is located within the Erie Fire Protection District. This site is in fact served by the Brighton Fire Protection District. 2.) Is there gas and or electric service to the buildings used as kennels, garage and sheds. 3.) The drawing as submitted shows no access to the site located on the north side of the Stanley Ditch. As fire department access is a concern, a proper drawing is to be submitted showing location of any access to structures on the north side of the ditch. 4.) Do to the nature of the business being commercial, and the number of structures on the site, a proper water supply for fire fighting is to be addressed. 5.) The applicant should call the Fire Prevention Bureau to arrange for an on site inspection at their earliest convience. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call the office.
