RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF WELD COUNTY ROAD 19 BETWEEN WELD COUNTY ROADS 4 AND
6 FOR FIVE WORKING DAYS, TO REPAIR A BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-410(6)(a), C.R.S., as amended:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close
to through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work
days for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such
road closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an
alternative routing of the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and
personal investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to
temporarily close to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on said
County roads by posting signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on
County roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of
such traffic control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide
traffic thereon for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall
conform to the Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that Weld County Road 19 between Weld County Roads
4 and 6 be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective April 24, 1998, for
approximately five working days, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall
be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 22nd day of July, A.D., 1998, nunc pro tunc April 24, 1998.

SUBJECT: Road Closures
The following roads were closed during the month of April, 1998:
WCR 38 between WCR 29 and WCR 31 closed for a culvert replacement closed on 4/9/98 for
three days.
,./._„i,,IANCR 396 between 54th St. Rd.. and WCR 27.5 (Two Rivers Pkwy.) Closed on 4/13/98 for four
days to replace a culvert.
WCR 10.5 between WCR 1 and WCR 3 closed for reconstruction and paving closed
on 4/20/98 for 60 days.
WCR 392 between WCR 80 and St. Hwy 14 closed on 4/21/98 for 8 days for road constroctik
J and overlay.
WCR 44 between WCR 39 and WCR 43 closed on 4/27/98 for 10 days to repair a bridge.
j54th St. Rd. between Granjero and 47th Avenue closed on 4/27/98 to move a gas line for 5 days.
WCR 19 between WCR 4 and WCR 6 closed on 4/24/98 for and emergency, bridge was damaged
and will be closed for 5 working days.
WCR 392 between WCR 80 and St. Hwy 14 closed on 4/28/98 for 8 days to complet-
construction.
The appropriate documentation is attached.
