RE: APPROVE CHANGE ORDER LETTER FOR COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS
CONTRACT AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Change Order Letter for the
Community Corrections Contract between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County
Community Corrections Board, and the Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal
Justice, commencing upon full execution of said change order, and ending June 30, 1998, with
further terms and conditions being as stated in said change order, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said change order, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Change Order Letter for the Community Corrections Contract
between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Community Corrections Board,
and the Department of Public Safety, Division of Criminal Justice, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said change order.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 27th day of October, A.D., 1997.

Pursuant to paragraph 1.A.4 of the contract between the Department of Public Safety, Division
of Criminal Justice (DCJ), and the Board of Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the
Weld County Community Corrections Board, DCJ hereby notifies you that the maximum
amount payable from the State for 3/4 House placements at a daily rate of $14.13 per offender
under Contract # 98000000075 , covering the period July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998,
is hereby decreased by $10,315 to a new total of $30,945. The per diem rate remains
unchanged.
The effected line of paragraph 1 .A.2 of Contract #98000000075 shall now read:
"$30.945 for 3/4 house placements at a daily rate of no more than $14.13 per
offender,"
This amendment to the contract is intended to be effective October 15, 1997, but in no event
shall this amendment be deemed valid until it shall have been approved by the State Controller
or his designee.
Please sign, date and return all copies of this Letter on or before November 15, 1997.

Enclosed are three copies of the Change Order Letter that decreases Weld County's
3/4 House allocation by $10,315 (2 slots) as we discussed last week.
Please have all three copies of the Change Order Letter signed by the Chairman of
the Weld County Board of Commissioners. Return all three copies to me. I will get
the State signatures and then return one fully excecuted copy to you.
