Home My WebLink About950044.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPOINT DELEGATE TO REPRESENT WELD COUNTY AT ANNUAL MEETING OF THE LUPTON MEADOWS DITCH COMPANY AND AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN PROXY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that Weld County should have a delegate to act as its representative at the annual meeting of The Lupton Meadows Ditch Company, which is scheduled for January 13, 1995, at 10:00 a.m., and WHEREAS,.the Board deems it advisable to appoint Commissioner W. H. Webster as the delegate to represent Weld County at said meeting. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Commissioner W. H. Webster be, and hereby is, appointed as the delegate to represent Weld County at the annual meeting of The Lupton Meadows Ditch Company, said meeting being scheduled for January 13, 1995, at 10:00 a.m. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chairman be, and hereby is, authorized to sign the proxy appointing Commissioner Webster to represent Weld County at said annual meeting. This way I wit], be - able to make u sure that the water gets to the end of the1di,—tgh at.'all times. If you check the ditch up all at once, you put someone out of water for 2 to 4 hours. #2: If any stockholder wants water, he or she needs to call me, the ditchrider, the night before so I can put your water in the ditch. If you don't call, you are taking someoneelses water. Also, if you are going to shut your water off, you need to call me. The ditch will only hold so much -;:ater before it starts washing things out. One phone call can save a lot of money! 9/3. When the ditch goes to measured water or on sections, the ditch rider will close your headgate and it will be the stockholders responsibility to open it at 6:00 A.M. on his or her days to run. i4. Over the next year or two the ditch rider will be doing more work on the ditch so I can ride the ditch from point one to the end of the ditch. It will make it a lot e= `o burn and to maintain. #5. We have a lot of headgates and weirs that are in bad condition. During the next two to three years I will talk to each stock- holder to see if we can replace these headgates with the new Hydrogate. This is the stockholders responsible. The ditch company can install these gates and bill the stockholder if you wish, i have enjoyed working on the ditch for You this past year.
