HomeMy WebLinkAbout970797.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO APRIL 28, 1997 TAPE #97-10 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Centennial Center, Greeley, Colorado, April 28, 1997, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner George E. Baxter, Chair Commissioner Constance L. Harbert, Pro-Tem Commissioner Dale K. Hall Commissioner Barbara J. Kirkmeyer - EXCUSED Commissioner W. H. Webster Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Carol Harding Finance and Administration Director, Don Warden MINUTES: Commissioner Hall moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of March 24, 1997, as printed. Commissioner Webster seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: CONSIDER CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONTRACT FOR SECTION 8 CERTIFICATE AND VOUCHER PROGRAMS TO U. S. DEPARTMENT OF HUD AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN: Jim Sheehan, Housing Authority Director, explained this contract will increase the annual contract with HUD for Project Numbers C0090V00009, C0090V00010, and will replace C0090V00011 with C0090V00016. Total budget amounts are $57,780, $96,552, and $243,840, respectively. Commissioner Harbert moved to approve said contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Seconded by Commissioner Hall, the motion carried unanimously. &- ss; /-fq 970797 BC0016 CONSIDER AUTHORIZING HOUSING AUTHORITY TO BE INCLUDED IN "MOVING TO WORK" DEMONSTRATION CONSORTIUM: Mr. Sheehan requested the Housing Authority be allowed to join the Colorado "Moving to Work" Demonstration Consortium, which consists of Denver Housing Authority, Boulder County, City of Boulder, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, Jefferson County, Littleton, Longmont, Louisville, Loveland, Pueblo, and Wellington. Mr. Sheehan reviewed the parameters of the program and explained it is HUD funding; however, HUD is only selecting 30 individual authorities nationwide, thus the Colorado Consortium. There was no public testimony given. Commissioner Hall moved to allow inclusion in said consortium. Commissioner Webster seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
