RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 3 -z CASE NO. Moved by George Mosier that the following resolution be introduced for passage by the Weld County Planning Commission: Be it Resolved by the Weld County Planning Commission that the following change be made in the 'Longing Resolution Books Mend Section III, USE AND DENSITY SCHEDULE, paragraph 3.3, Uses Permitted in the "A" Agricultural District, sub -heading (8) to read as follows: Grave: pits, quarries and open mining operations subject to approval as to location by the Weld county Planning Commission and subject to the special provisions of Section VI, SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS, paragraph 6.1, Uses Permitted, sub -heading (3). Amend Section VI, SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS, paragraph 6.1, Uses Permitted by aidition of the following sub -heading (3): Before the County Planning Commission shall approve a special request for the locations of a gravel pit, quarry or open mining operation in any "A" or "A" -l" Agricultural District, or in any "I" Industrial District the applicant shall be required to furnish the following information: A rehabilitation site plan snowing how the area will be reclaimed after the gravel pit, quarry or open mining operation is completed; A time schedule indicating when steps for rehabilitation will occur and the total time period for th.. gravel pit, quarry or mining operation; and Such .pecial information es may be required by the County Planning Commission to assure future compatibility of the operation with the surrounding area. Such information may include, but is not limited to, the following: 1. A descriptiun of the measures to be taken to be sure that stagnant water bodies will no be created; 2. The slopes of proposed excavations; 3. Precautions to protect existing houses, ditches, roads, or other in.prove:nents un adjacent properties, and 4. The pro:osed location of fences to discourage the use of the site oy non-e:apluyees.
