RE: Must Carry channel addition - KDEN, Longmont, CO
Dear Chairman Kirkmeyer,
TCI Cablevision must add a new channel to the line up for the Greeley area. KDEN, an
independent television station cablecasting out of Longmont has adhered to FCC stringent
'must carry' requirements. Therefore, effective August 5, 1997, TCI Cablevision of
Colorado will air KDEN as channel 1 on the Greeley area line up.
Fortunately we are able to add KDEN without deleting other valuable programming. Also,
it is important to note there will not be a change in rates at this time, but the additional basic
channel will be calculated into FCC formulas for future rate adjustments.
We will notify our customers soon of the lineup change in August and do not anticipate
problems. If you, members of the council or staff have questions or concerns or receive
citizen input, please do not hesitate to contact us at 356-1079.
