RE: APPROVE NOTICE OF RENEWAL FOR INMATE INTENSIVE SUPERVISION
PROGRAM SERVICES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Notice of Renewal for Inmate
Intensive Supervision Program services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and
through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Community
Corrections Board, and the Colorado Department of Corrections, commencing July 1, 1998,
and ending June 20, 1999, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said renewal,
and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said renewal, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Notice of Renewal for Inmate Intensive Supervision Program
services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Community Corrections Board, and the
Colorado Department of Corrections be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said renewal.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of July, A.D., 1998.

NOTICE OF RENEWAL

In accordance with paragraph 1.A.2 of Department of Corrections Contract routing number
98CAA01052, the State notifies Weld County Community Corrections Board, that it hereby
exercises its option to renew the Contract. The renewed Contract term shall be July 1, 1998
through June 30, 1999. The State intends to change the available State funds encumbered to
$40,000 for the purchase of community corrections inmate intensive supervision program
services. The State's financial obligation under Contract, section 1.A.2. for Fiscal Year 1998-99
may not exceed forty thousand dollars and zero cents ($40,000.00).
This Contract renewal shall not be deemed valid until i.t shall have been approved by the
Controller of the State of Colorado or such assistant as he may designate. This provision is
applicable to any contract involving the payment of money by the State.
Please acknowledge this renewal notice by signing in the area indicated below. Kindly return the
form at your first opportunity so that the Department may submit it for the required approval of
the State Controller.

Dear Mr. Spangler,
Attached is the renewal notice for the Department of Corrections(DOC), Division of Community
Corrections contract with your board to provide Inmate Intensive Supervision Program(ISP) services
during FY 1998-99.
We have allocated$40,000 to your board to fund ISP inmate services for FY 1998-99. Provision 1.A.5
on page 3 of the contract allows the board to use up two(2)percent of the funds to administer contracts
and payments to approved subcontractors/services providers. To finalize contract renewal for FY 1998-
99,the attached contract needs to be signed by a person authorized to bind contract agreements for your
agency. Please return six(6)original signed copies before July 31, 1998 at the following address:
