GREEN MILL SPORTSMEN CLUB
Land Acquisition Site Specific Development Plan
Use by Special Review Letter, October 1, 1992
Board of Weld County Commissioners,
The Green Mill Sportsmen Club, a non-profit recreational and
educational organization, chartered by the State of Colorado in
1962. We are asking for your approval to build a new facility
which will consist of a high powered and a small bore rifle
ranges, a pistol range and a trap range.
Our club provides recreational and educational service to the
community in several ways:
1. Members along with their families and friends enjoy
recreational shooting.
2. The facility will be open to the public for sight -in
prior to and during the general big game hunting
seasons.
3. The club provides hunter safety education and the
facility would be available for Boy Scout firearms
qualifications.
4. The club supports law enforcement personnel for
practice and qualification requirements.
We are dedicated to safety and will staff the facility with
qualified range officers when needed. Our proposal will fit
planned usage for open space and recreational activities and is
in complete agreement with the Weld County Comprehensive Plan.
Answers to all your land use questions are attached. Should you
have additional questions, we will be happy to work with you to
provide the information.
Thank you for your consideration.
Yours Truly, %
R ert Bottorff `/
