RE: APPROVE SETTING SPEED LIMIT AT 20 MILES PER HOUR IN CARMACAR
RANCHETTES SUBDIVISION AND INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC CONTROL
DEVICES
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Works has recommended to the
Board that "20 MHP" Speed Limit signs be installed on Longs Peaks Street, Mountain View
Street, Fir Avenue, Aspen, Pikes Peak Street, and Spruce Drive, all within Carmacar
Ranchettes Subdivi>ion, for dust mitigation purposes and to ensure safety to the traveling
public, and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that said traffic control devices are necessary for
the protection of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Department of Public Works be, and hereby is, directed to
install "20 MPH" Speed Limit signs on Longs Peaks Street, Mountain View Street, Fir Avenue,
Aspen, Pikes Peak Street, and Spruce Drive, all within Carmacar Ranchettes Subdivision, for
dust mitigation purposes and to ensure safety to the traveling public, and said signs shall
conform to the State Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 25th day of August, A.D., 1999.
