While making an on site inspection, Mr. Gaona assured me that precautions would be taken to ensure that no contamination would result from the operation. The business is located along a ditch with running water from the feedlot above. The district would ask that special care is taken to ensure no oil, gasoline or antifreeze leaks into the ditch from cars parked directly above it. The district also asks that strict procedures be followed in the disposal of waste products from the repair shop. Dunn, The Board of Directors of The North Side Lateral Company has eviewed the application of Joe Gaona for a special use permit egarding his auto and farm machinery business . As you are aware his property is located right beside a stream bed, and is in a flood plain which drains several hundred acres. The normal rainage from this area goes under our canal and therefore does of impact us . However, during periods of high water we will be impacted by the flood waters . Concern is therefore expressed as o containment of oil, gas, antifreeze and other contaminates hat will likely be on site . Contamination of the water in our anal will impact several thousand acres of cropland. We are lso concerned about trash, car bodies and other debris being ashed downstream and causing problems in our system. We would appreciate that these areas be addressed by your epartment when you make the decision concerning this pplication. Sincerely, Dale D.
