RE: APPROVE VACATION OF LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK 45, TOWN OF BARNESVILLE,
COLORADO - STECKEL
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 18th day
of September, 1996, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of
hearing the request of Sherry L. Steckel, 33304 Weld County Road 61.75, Gill, Colorado 80624,
to vacate Lots 1 and 2, Block 45, Town of Barnesville, Colorado, on the following described real
estate, to-wit:
Part of the E1/2W1/2SE1/4 of Section 18,
Township 6 North, Range 63 West of the 6th P.M.,
Weld County, Colorado
WHEREAS, said applicant represented by Tom Collins at said hearing, and
WHEREAS, said Lots 1 and 2, Block 45, Town of Barnesville, Colorado, are not
adjacent to any other platted lots and, as a result, their vacation by the Board does not
necessitate a resubdivision, pursuant to Section 8 of the Weld County Subdivision Ordinance,
nor does it evade the purposes and intent of said Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners heard all of the testimony and
statements of those present, studied the request of the applicant and the recommendations of
the Weld County Planning staff and all of the exhibits and evidence presented in this matter
and, having been fully informed, finds that this request shall be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the request of Sherry L. Steckel to vacate Lots 1 and 2, Block 45,
Town of Barnesville, Colorado, on the hereinabove described parcel of land be, and hereby is,
granted.

SUBJECT: Vacation of Lots 1 and 2, Block 45 in the Town of Barnesville
Dear Commissioners:
The purpose of this vacation is to remove two lots that are not adjacent to any other platted lots.
The property owner is submitting a Subdivision Exemption to make the property line consistent
with what the property owner has historically occupied (see attached map.) The Subdivision
Exemption will fix the problem by allowing the applicant to adjust the property line so it is
consistent with the current boundaries of occupation.
