RE: AUTHORIZING LEGAL HOLIDAYS FOR HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT
DURING 1998 CALENDAR YEAR
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution dated October 8, 1997, the Board of County Commissioners
itemized the legal holidays to be taken by County employees during the calendar year 1998,
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Services has advised the Board that the State of
Colorado no longer requires grant participants to follow the State schedule for holidays, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to authorize Department of Human Services
employees to observe the approved Weld County 1998 legal holidays, with the exception of the
Head Start and Transportation employees, who will follow the schedule set by the appropriate
school district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that Department of Human Services employees, except Head Start
and Transportation employees, be, and hereby are, authorized to observe the holidays for the
calendar year 1998, as set forth in the Board of County Commissioners Resolution dated
October 8, 1997.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Head Start and Transportation
employees will continue to follow the holiday schedule as established by the appropriate school
district.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 26th day of January, A.D., 1998.
